NEW: After the insurrection, @Disney promised not to give to the Sedition Caucus in 2021. But 21 months later, they've given $2,500 to Darrell Issa and $1,000 to Ben Cline, who both voted to reject the 2020 election results.
Disney kept the letter of their promise, by not giving until 2022. But 2022 is in the same election cycle as 2021, which means there was no practical impact or actual consequences for Issa and Cline--except that Disney got some good PR.
Companies keep doing this: they made promises after the insurrection and now they're quietly giving again to seditionists, hoping no one notices. But we're watching, and we'll keep calling out companies like @Disney who have apparently decided they value access over democracy.
