1- I was honored to lecture at German Federal Parliament during a seminar organized by Diplomatic &Cultural Academy in Berlin “European Economic &Security Policies &their impact on stability &peacemaking (Yemeni case)” w participation of MPs &German MoFA &other concerned w Yemen
2- I stressed Houthi militia’s undermining of peace &threatening energy security &shipping lanes only serves Iranian expansionist agenda &its policies to destabilize security &stability &transform Yemen into platform to implement its project,&bargaining chip in its negotiation
3-I pointed out that Iranian drones that kill Yemenis, destroy infrastructure, &target civilians &energy in neighboring countries, are the same ones that are being used to spread terrorism around the world, and that the international community should condemn their use in Yemen.
4-I was surprised for double standards in intl ccommunity’s handling crises, as Yemenis protested abt Iranian drones’ threat to security &stability of Yemen & the region wo response, today there is strong concern abt risks of using same drones in Ukraine &condemns it in world
5- I reviewed political &humanitarian situation in Yemen, Presidential Leadership Council &Govt efforts to achieve peace through positive interaction w all regional &intl efforts &initiatives,including UN truce that terrorist Houthi militia refuses to extend &insists on undermine
6-I pointed to targeting of vital facilities &populated areas by militia, recent one Al-Dabba &Radhum, after it refused to implement its obligations under truce, on opening roads in Taiz, deposit oil derivatives revenues at port of Hodeidah and directing them to pay salaries.
7-I pointed to grave violations practiced by Houthi militia; killing, imprisonment, confiscation of property, banning newspapers &media,abducting journalists &activists, displacing religious minorities, recruiting children,abduting &torturing women, preventing cultural activities
8-I warned against Houthi change of school curricula * promote culture of terrorism §arian ideology &recruitment of children, which threatens generations of young people armed with sectarian terrorist thought that does not believe in coexistence &does not accept the other.
9-I pointed that Houthi militia destroyed national economy &created a parallel economy through black markets, especially in energy &food, which now generate billions of riyals for the militia leaders, without having any obligations towards the citizens in their areas of control.
10-I stressed that Govt strive to alleviate humanitarian crisis in militia’s areas out of its responsibility for all Yemenis, &disbursed salaries in 2019 to public servants according to 2014 payroll, but militia undermined those efforts &looted aid and creating economic crisis
11- I referred to National Defense Council designation of Houthi militia as a “terrorist organization”in accordance with intl ®ional conventions ratified by Yemen.After militia closed all doors of dialogue &continued its absurd &destructive practices targeting Yemen &Yemenis
12-I stressed that government will deal w humanitarian issues in areas under Houthis control out of its moral &legal responsibility towards all Yemenis in all governorates of the Republic, and will work to facilitate the work of relief organizations in all regions of Yemen.
13- I valued efforts of Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by 🇸🇦 and 🇦🇪 in support of Govt to restore state, normalizing life,provision of basic services &improving humanitarian situation,&called on intl community to provide more political&economic support to the Yemeni people
14- I reviewed aspects of support provided by brothers in KSA to Yemen,in economic, development &humanitarian fields, through @SaudiDRPY @KSRelief, @MasamProject, &hosting 2million Yemenis, their remittances is backbone of economy &source of livelihood for millions of families
