It's easy to make "Money" your identity. Especially if you come from nothing and built what you have now from the ground up.
The issue is when guys shed every ounce of who they really are for some "Second Skin" that's not really congruent.
There are so many different parts to who you are, and by building your whole "New" personality around arbitrary numbers on a screen that could evaporate in an instant...
Probably isn't the smartest thing to do.
You should be proud of yourself.
Proud of your success...
But don't let it define you.
People who do that just become assholes and isolate themselves from all of the people that really care about them by "Flexing" or the age old -
"I make more money than you, shut up."
It's about being a good person.
Not letting it change you.
It's important to be able to go through this to find yourself, but it's even more important to recognize that every single thing has an equal opposite and reaction.
Act accordingly.
The Karmic Balance must be restored at some point.
I say this because I've seen so many...
So many people (including myself at many points)
Define themselves by how much they make or how they measure their metrics of success.
Don't wear someone else's skin because you aren't fully happy with your own.
Take what those people you look up to do, and understand...
That if you like X, Y, or Z characteristic of that person, find out why.
It's great to try new things, especially to determine if you like them or not, it's how you find out what you enjoy and who you are.
But in too many instances I see people just blatantly ripping off others
It's cool to adopt certain mannerisms, styles of dressing, habits, mentalities, frameworks and perspectives of successful people and people you look up to and can learn from.
But there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between the guy who does this healthily & the guy who doesn't.
Sit and ask yourself this:
Am I doing this because I like it? Or am I doing this because I saw XYZ do it and I'm trying to be cool or be someone I'm not?
Too many people walk around through their ENTIRE lives unhappy with who they are.
I see this happen with so many things...
Like people trying to get into business & entrepreneurship because they think it's "Cool," not because they have a dying passion to build something to add value to the world or they HAVE to get out of a certain messed up financial situation.
Then they crash & burn because...
They don't even enjoy doing it or like it and would be much happier with a regular job.
Or guys who want 10 girlfriends when they deep down really want 1 loyal loving relationship.
Just because someone else does it doesn't mean they have to.
You can spot this so easily...
Be the man or woman that lives according to their OWN Principles
The best part about life is that you get to CREATE IT
Create your own mental frameworks, philosophies, ideas and life.
You don't need to carbon copy someone else because they're successful.
Carve your own path.
