I use the funds to produce two framed copies of each of the Codex series so that one remains as an artist proof for exhibition purposes and potential museum acquisition and the other can remain with the collector

Pre-funding art a like this is a game changer. Normally you have to take all of the risk up front without knowing if you've got a buyer on the other side of potentially hundreds of hours of work and thousands in production costs.
This way, at least the costs are covered.

I've been able to produce a number of high cost high risk artworks like this over the last two years, and I'd encourage any artist reading this to experiment with this pre-funded model
