Daily habits to help you fight depression
Depressive episodes are so common these days. But it's easier to be consumed by them than actually doing the work to fight it daily.
Here are some simple daily habits to help you fight Depression.
Find something to be thankful for
Gratitude makes you feel better instantly. This could be through prayers or journaling.
Create daily quiet times
Time away from social media, gadgets, and people, to meditate and pray makes you relaxed and more present.
Get enough sleep
There's serious correlation between sleep and depression. Getting enough sleep improves your mood and helps your brain heal from depression.
Shower (daily) and clean your room
Dirt clutters the mind. It's hard to be depressed in a clean room, after showering and in clean clothes.
Exercise.
So many researchers have proven that exercise is great for your mental health. It helps clear brain fog and reduces stress chemicals in your brain.
Spend time outdoors
The change you experience being outdoors is like night and day.
Studies have shown that sunshine slows our heart rate, changes our physiology and decreases stress the stress chemicals.
Find a hobby.
We all need a fun activity unrelated to money. Could be music, video games, movies, writing, sports, whatever.
Try to infuse little of these into your daily schedule.
It's important to understand that we're in charge of how we feel and who we're becoming.
It takes work to get out of any depressive episode but it's something we all have to do when it comes.
