How to be happier in life:
1. Expect good things
Optimistic people expect success and good outcomes that's why they become successful.
It's just like grandma always used to say: If you think it's going to be boring, it will be.
2. List your accomplishments, daily.
At the end of each day, reflect back on what you've accomplished.
Each thing ticked off your to-do list, and each goal finished for the day should be celebrated with a mental note and a reward.
3. Stop comparing yourself to others
We tend to compare ourselves to people in our social circles:
- siblings
- Facebook friends
- high school classmates
- friends
All too often, we may not feel we "measure up".
4. Live in the moment
Many people live their lives on auto-pilot. They do their work but their mind is elsewhere.
Be mindful, even when doing daily mundane things be present and in the moment.
5. Try meditation.
Several studies have shown that meditation can reduce your brain’s responses to negative emotional stimuli.
It can boost your serotonin levels making you calmer and happier.
