blender first impressions thread! (as a maya user)
1. it's super hard to see what the heck is going on when you parent objects using the default parenting method
child objects have some sort of hidden (??) offset based on their relation when parenting

this offset seems to be completely hidden in the UI
basically, both transform and delta transform can be at (0,0,0), and yet the object is neither at (0,0,0) world space, nor at the parent position
what is that offset? *who knows* I couldn't figure it out and neither could chat

2. UV editing and selection feels.. flaky?
the combined selection modes and states between the 3D viewport and the UV viewport feels super janky, and I keep accidentally deselect or things disappear because some selection somewhere was somehow linked or unlinked

3. I extremely miss the interactive UV unfold in maya
being able to select UVs and interactively drag a slider to smoothly unfold my selection to a specific amount (while unselected UVs are pinned), is super core to my workflow, and this isn't a thing in blender it seems

I might look into how to write plugins to see if I can make my own solution for interactive unfold
