The Nazis were not the only ones who operated concentration camps. During the second Anglo-Boer War, the Britain used them in South Africa and Kenya, leaving Between 18,000 and 28,000 dead, 80% of them children.
Horrific Thread.
In Kenya, the camps were sites for random executions and Interrogation involved stuffing detainees mouth with mud and stomping their throats till they passed out.
The suffering experienced in the camps left a lasting legacy of bitterness amongst the Boers. Between 18,000 and 28,000 Boers died, 80% of them children.
The camps were formed by the British army to house the residents of the two Boer republics of the South African Republic and the Orange Free State.
