7 ways to make your FIRST $100k to unlock your dream life🧵
1. Remote Sales Rep
There’s always been lots of money to be made in sales, but now anyone can access it.
As long as you have an internet connection, you can start earning five figures in commissions.
Even at my companies, we have reps pulling in 10, 20 even 50k pm.
I will say, one third of you reading this will be amazing at sales by default, another third can be taught over time, but the last third are just not cut out for it.
That’s okay.
Sales isn't for everyone, but you'll only find out if you have what it takes is by trying it.
2. Flipping sneakers
Much like watches, people can begin to flip sneakers, but with a way lower barrier to entry.
This isn’t a field I’m an expert in, but there are limited sneaker drops all the time which resell for anywhere from 2-20x retail price.
For example, the Jordan 1 Travis lows I’m wearing retailed for $130 and are now selling for $2200.
And I'm the guy paying $2200 to someone who was smart enough to buy them first.
This is a business you can EASILY scale way beyond 100k per year.
3. Youtube
I’m gonna be honest here, this one’s hard.
No more than 10% of the people reading this have the ā€˜it’ factor, but with enough time and dedication you can make this happen.
When I first started on Youtube… we’ll let’s just say I wasn’t where I am now.
Depending on the niche, you can even scale this to $150k+ pm, which is what my channel is sitting at right now, and it’s been growing like crazy.
If you’re someone who feels the urge to create, then just get started.
It’s not too late.
4. Drop Shipping
I’ve been super skeptical of this one in the past because the margins are already so slim and customer acquisition is very expensive through paid traffic.
You can lose a lot of money, fast, if you don’t know what you’re doing.
But, with organic traffic sources like TikTok, and even Twitter, the risks are a lot lower now.
Just bear in mind that picking the winning product involves a lot of trial and error.
Regardless, this is a viable business model to make your first $100k and beyond.
5. Affiliate Marketing
This business model used to be far less accessible, it was almost reserved for people with an existing platform.
Things have changed.
Now you can easily access millions of eyeballs for FREE using TikTok or Reels.
More eyeballs = more money.
6. Online Courses
If you have specialist knowledge you can productize it in the form of an online course, and sell it.
You don’t even need anything exceptional; it can be practical.
One of the highest-grossing courses ever was on how to use excel sheets…
If you’re good at notion you can sell a course on that, or if you’re good at networking that can even be a course.
Platforms like Skillshare allow you to access a pre-existing marketplace which removes some of the difficulty with this business model.
7. High Impact Video Editor
Video marketing is here to stay, and a lot of companies are starting to realize the impact of high-quality short and long-form content.
That means lots of companies are hiring editors.
Video content is how I began my agency journey when I still had a creative agency.
A business I was able to scale to 15-25k pm at 17.
Even at my company, we have three full-time video editors and full-time thumbnail editors.
If you can frame your service to differentiate yourself from a ā€˜normal’ video editor you’re going to fare well.
For example, if you edit to optimize for retention, that's going to be a lot more valuable for a company, so they will be willing to pay you more.
We live in an attention economy.
The better you’re able to leverage that in your business, the more value you’ll provide & the more money you’ll make.
Those who take action will reap the rewards, because there are more opportunities than ever before.
