Most people suck at finding freelance clients online.
But not anymore because
Here’re 5 ways you can find your first freelance client easily:
Contents:
1. Your network (online/offline)
2. Portfolio website or A blog (Tutorial)
3. Social media
4. Freelance websites (Tutorial)
5. Be an expert
1. Your network (online/offline)
How open-minded would you be about calling your friend online or offline to become your client?
I think you’re open-minded.
If you’re not, become one.
Call your friend who is in need of a graphic designer or whatever and tell him if he needs you or if not then tell him/her to recommend you to someone else.
Just imagine you get your first client via your friends' circle.
2. Portfolio Website or A blog
As a freelancer, you must need a website free or paid it doesn’t matter.
Because it makes you more eligible for work.
Build your portfolio on Carrd. It’s a free single-page website builder tool.
Use it and put your old, new, and previous projects that you have done in your time.
A blog is a powerful tempter because it shows how passionate and qualified you’re.
Like if you have a blog with content that is worth reading tell who wouldn’t trust you by reading your qualified work.
If you can’t afford a blog website then keep on reading.
3. Social media
I got 20+ consulting opportunities and 5+ clients on Twitter because of my content.
Freelancing is hectic and agonizing at first but if you’re a smart thinker you can find your first client in weeks not months.
Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram can provide you with 10s of clients.
Twitter strategy to win big:
1. Follow those who’re in your niche
2. Analyze how they post and what they post.
3. Create or curate content like them.
4. Reply to every comment and be patient.
Facebook:
Join freelance groups like Freelancer and more like them.
Instagram:
Create beautiful content for all age people.
The hack is consistent because most people will quit because it's not easy.
4. Freelance websites
How about I tell you about the websites I used when I was freelancing?
I started on Indeed and Fiverr.
But today on Fiverr it is super noisy there. No one even a professional expert can’t get any order in months.
But you don’t need to be a specialist to write or edit a gig that snatches clients' eyeballs.
You just need to be relevant and that's all.
Use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to rank your gig in some crowded niche like content writing or graphic designing.
5. Be an Expert
Whatever you’ve chosen for yourself go deep into it than any other person.
If you’ve chosen content writing like myself you need to work hard harder enough to knock out the ones who’re gambling with people.
You’ll be the first expert who provides actual value to people…
Learn about the tools, trends, and all about your niche.
Thanks for reading.
