How do you stop caring what others think about you?
It's an early skill that will really allow you to run.
Here are 5 steps simple enough to teach to your kid as well. 1/

Step 1: Decide who matters and who doesn't.
If you're in a healthy relationship, you can't *not care* what the other person feels or thinks. Be deliberate in who you choose.
If you don't care what *anyone* thinks, you're a jerk, but *you decide* who matters - not the world. 2/

Step 2: Put up Protections on those who don't matter
- Be superficial, limit or cut those who are negative or ridicule you. Don't have toxic people in your circle.
- Share your goals, progress & wins only with those who cheer you on.
Protect your headspace, online too. 3/

Step 3: Expect & Prepare for Blowback
You know those screenshots people take when you block them? It proves that you did the right thing.
You'll see pushback in the real world too.
Whether IRL or online, only the wrong people don't understand drawing lines. 4/

Step 4: Create your own Circle & Army of Support
Your circle determines a lot about how you think, so choose yours carefully.
Who you date, who you follow/interact with online, who your friends are.
Surround yourself with people who truly "see you," and want you to win. 5/

Step 5: Go All In
Once you've decided who matters & who doesn't, have drawn your lines, and have a circle of support - go all in with these people at your side.
Be great to them, run at your goals, talk to the people who matter as you go, and use your team when you need to. 6/

The key is setting your lines & holding to them.
- Block/mute fast
- Keep negativity out of your headspace
- Be throwing good things out into the world & bringing in good folks.
Form your own army, go all in on your people & your goals, and the nuisances stop mattering. 7/fin
