The Ukrainian position on Russia's war against it is crystal clear & sensible:
1. Lesson from 2014: Ukraine needs to retake its whole territory. Otherwise Putin will only attack again when he has recovered strength.
2. "In late September, following Putin’s annexation of four additional Ukrainian regions in the east and in the south, Zelensky issued a decree declaring it “impossible” to negotiate with the Russian leader. “We will negotiate with the new president.”"
3. Andriy Yermak: “Cynically, Russia and its Western supporters are holding out an olive branch. Please do not be fooled: An aggressor cannot be a peacemaker.”
4. I would clarify that Russia cannot be allowed to maintain its naval base in Sevastopol, because from that base Putin started his surprise attack on Crimea in February 2014.
5. Rather than questioning Ukraine's unwillingness to negotiate with the criminal terrorist Putin, the US should labe Russia a terrorist state & maximize its delivery of arms to Ukraine. Stick to the so far successful policy but take it further! Putin must not stay in power.
