Mirza Ghulam Ahmad misattributed the following hadith to al-Bukhari.
Qadianis respond by saying:
- Maybe it is in another manuscript of al-Bukhari.
- So what? Prophets make mistakes.
- A Deobandi scholar made the same mistake before.

Firstly, there is no proof of the existence of such a report in any manuscript of al-Bukhari. We have documentation of the actual differences among al-Bukhari's students. This isn't one of them. Even if it was found in a manuscript, then this would be a
problem because it would be unreliable for conflicting with all the other manuscripts. His inability to realize that these are not the words of the Prophet (peace be upon him) makes him unreliable in his claims and attributions to Allah and His messenger.
As for a Deobandi scholar making the same mistake, I don't recall anyone making them a prophet.
Yes, prophets have made mistakes before in their actions. However, this is a mistake in attribution to a prophet.
Mohammad (peace be upon him) knew biblical texts
without having access to them. MGA had access to al-Bukhari and would mess up his quotes.
Why does MGA need al-Bukhari in the first place? He is supposed to be a prophet.
All prophets are from the same source. They all receive revelation from Allah the Almighty.
MGA did not.
