Michigan voters passed Promote the Vote 2022, adding voting policies to their state constitution that codify common sense votersโ rights protections and prevent their state legislature from overturning election results.
In Arizona, voters passed Proposition 211, a ballot measure that requires public disclosure of big-dollar donors to dark money groups, meaning Arizonans will know much more about who is influencing their elections.
Voters in Oakland, CA passed the Oakland Fair Elections Act, which will increase transparency for money in politics and level the playing field for political donations by giving each eligible Oakland resident four $25 vouchers to donate to a qualifying local candidate.
In Portland, Maine, voters approved the Clean Elections Program, which establishes a clean election fund for the city, expanding Maineโs popular statewide program to local candidates. Qualified candidates will be able to receive public campaign funds starting next year.
