Many people tend to forget that capitalist companies are organized hierarchically; they are mini dictatorships limited in the exercise of their dictatorship by some legal norms, trade union rights and the like. But these just set limits to dictatorship.

But this creates a duality or dissonance: political life which is sporadic is organized on democratic principles; economic life which is continuous (daily) is organized on hierarchical principles.
