What’s strange to me is that for decades, Republicans generally opposed this sort of thing and pointed it out. And then post-2020 many of the DC types got scared and quiet. But the idea that they’ll ever retake the presidency again if they don’t reform the system is absurd.
The obvious route here is to strongly condemn predatory, plebiscitary practices that ultimately lead to the destruction of any stable democracy. This is not our form of government. Literally save democracy. Etc., etc.
