The Big Idea is what creates a successful promo.
Funny it is easy to understand but difficult to come up with.
Simply put…
A Big Idea is the core idea behind your marketing.
One strong message that drives the whole copy and persuades the audience.
You knew it before now.
But how did you come up with one?

It becomes hell on the heart.
You struggle to create it.
It keeps you up at 2 am.
It's daunting, draining, and difficult.
Your promo suffered for it and your client wasn't happy with you.

It wasn't your fault.

And the boxes your idea needs to tick before it can be called a Big Idea.

There's so much noise in the marketing world.
Advertising here and there.
Average marketers are now exposed to paid ads.
Newbie copywriter who wanted more clients run ads.
Ecom store owners who need more sales run ads.
Agency owners run ads.
That guy sitting next to you runs ads to gain followers.
Which is why people are now exposed to more marketing.
And…
Many marketers make big claims.
Big promise.
They use big words with big arguments.
Thinking that's the best way to win.
They over-promise but under-deliver.
Which is why…
Humans are more skeptical than you can ever think of.
Typical messages are now shot and buried at glance.
Templates are not working again.
Wondering why people are not easily convinced anymore?
This is why.
Because they hear the same thing you're saying from 7 other marketers every day.
So it's not NEW.
It's not Different.
It's boring and hard to believe.
The only way you can earn the attention of your prospects?
 When your marketing message sounds new and unique.
When your message sounds promising and enticing.
Something they've never seen before.
Something they've never heard before.
So you don't want to do what everyone is doing.
You want to Stand-Out.

Even if you sell the same product as every other marketer.
Your message is arresting and convincing.
That's what BIG IDEAS do for you.
It first arrests their attention.
Then say to them…
"Hey dude, this is different and I bet you haven't seen it before so pay attention"
…then they listen to you and are curious about your product.
That's how you WIN.

Here's how I hunt my Big Ideas and…
The boxes your Idea must tick before it calls a Big Idea.
Ready for the long ride?
Let's have it…
1] Your Big Idea Must Sound New & Unique, Must Feel Enticing, and Different:
You can't stand out if you blend in…
And if you don't stand out.
You won't capture attention.
And a marketer who doesn't capture attention will find it hard to sell.
That's why you want to sound new and different.
Because if it's NEW it's PROMISING and gives HOPE.
You want to be Unique and Enticing.
Because if it's Unique and Enticing they'll pay attention.
And once they pay attention - you've WON.
2] A Big Idea Must Have One Believable Promise of Transformation:
What are you selling to your prospects?
What's the result of your product?
What would life look like for your prospect after using your product?
Will it help them get more leads and close more deals?
Help them reach 100k followers?
Will it make them more money?
Will it make them look and feel younger?
This is what your prospects want to know.
That they've finally scratched the code.
That they've met the good Samaritan.
And the bad days are over.
3] A Big Idea Must Be About And Tied to The Rising Trend:
The inflation?
Or the $8 twitter?
What's trending in your market?
That's what your Big Idea must be tied to.
It should be what's happening currently.
Or what is about to happen or…
What has happened in the past?
This is to support what's already going on in their head and make it a new door of opportunity.
Do you get the point?
Let's keep riding.
4] Your Big Idea Must Be Easy to Understand And Digest:
Can you explain it simply in just one sentence?
Or is it rocket science?
See…
Your Big Idea must not and should never be complex.
Don't sound complicated.
Make it easier for your prospects.
The more complex it is.
The more likely they are to lose interest.
And once the interest is gone the sales aren't there again.
So make it simple because…
Simplicity is arresting.
Simplicity is believable.
Simplicity builds trust and wins sales.
5] Your Big Idea Must Follow The Rule Of One And Hit One Emotion:
Which of the emotions sell your product?
Is it fear or greed?
Selfishness or ego?
Vanity or lust?
Hope or Guilt?
One emotion ALONE!
That's what your big idea should communicate throughout the funnel.
If you diversify the journey.
Maybe…
You talk about greed in your ad.
Fear in your sales page.
And ego in your VSL then you've lost your readers.
And you'll never be rewarded for it.

Ideas that make your prospects feel good.
Ideas that give your prospects hope.

They're enticing and not boring.
They solve problems.
They're believable.
They're easy to understand.
That's it.
That's a Big Idea.
That's how I do it.

Make sure your idea ticks those boxes.
Make sure it is exciting and appealing.
Make sure it promises one believable transformation.
Make sure it is tied to the rising trend and…
Make sure it taps just one emotion.
Do this and you're the creator of a powerful copy.
Copy that sold millions.
Copy that every aspiring copywriter is willing to dissect.
This will set you on the path of becoming a future A-List copywriter.
