RECOMMENDATION LETTERS make up a very important part of your scholarship/university application so here are 5 things to do when asking for a recommendation letter from your professor
A THREAD. OPEN
1. Ask your professor as early as possible to give them ample time for the letter to be written.
*Give at least three months advance notice.
2. Make a formal request.
*Schedule an appointment to discuss the recommendation fully.
3. Ask if they would like to see a sample letter.
If so, find various types of recommendation letters to share.
4. Give your recommender with as much information as possible.
This includes items and resources like:
β€’ Your correct contact information
5. A list of extracurricular activities you’re involved in with dates and titles.
β€’ A recent cover letter or a brag sheet listing recent achievements.
β€’ Reminders of your past work experiences and accomplishments with your recommender.
β€’ Your best works (a copy of an essay or class project, etc.).
A perfect SOP can make or break your application. Check out the 5 step strategy i have used to get 4 fully funded scholarships: linktw.in
