Gay “marriage” is bad for society and this shouldn’t be controversial.
The state has a vested interest in heterosexual marriage bc *only* these unions produce new citizens *and* provide the environment that gives children the best chance to thrive — w/ a bio father & mother.

It’s just sentimentality that wants to call two people of the same sex spending their lives together a “marriage.” The aspects of a marriage that are of interest to the state and society are completely absent there. They are only of interest to the people involved.
The sacrifice of devoting the prime years of one’s life to raising healthy, stable citizens in the best possible environment for their thriving — w/ a bio mother & father attendant to their offsprings’ well-being — should be distinguished by the state from all other arrangements.
This really is not controversial and the only thing that makes it so is people being sentimental and stupid and wanting everything and everyone to be seen as The Same as everything and everyone else. Especially where marriage and family are at stake, this simply isn’t true.
This isn’t even getting into the spiritual realities of maleness and femaleness (which are being debased and forgotten everywhere) and the meaning of marriage in light of those spiritual realities, and there’s much more that could be and should be said on that front.
Everyone saying “what about infertile people or old women - they shouldn’t be allowed to get married??” are completely missing the point that the only ppl who can have babies are man + woman which is why this union is not equal to anything else.
Humanity doesn’t exist w/out man + woman. And children lack something fundamental (either a mother or a father) if raised in other parenting arrangements. Children can do well in all kinds of less than ideal circumstances of course but those circumstances do not equal the ideal.
