Country wise Frequency distribution of R1a-Y3+ lineages (formation ~2600BCE) shows a clear origin in the Indian subcontinent. Total of 23000 samples in this map.
R1a-Y3 makes up 70-80% of all Indian R1a. It is not shared with Iranians. It cannot be the common Indo-Iranian marker.
Overall R1a frequency in Iranians is also quite low at 10-15%. Iranians are dominated by J2 and J1 Y haplogroups.
Country wise modern distribution of the bronze age steppe marker R1a-Z2124+. Highest in Afghan Pashtuns (likely Turkic impact) and the Kyrgyz. Impact on Nepal/India/Pakistan/BD/SL/Iran is low at ~10% or lower.
