The standard wisdom is introverts get stimulated too quickly and need time off from social contact. But the truth is the opposite - "introverts" are people who can't get stimulated by small talk and need complex narratives of niche TV shows to be entertained at all
"I'm an introvert" = "Due to my rarefied intellect I think the chances of making friends when I go out are abominably low and so I won't go out"
