1๏ธโƒฃ Certifications.
You can either be extremely skilled (mostly pentester) and showcase your public profile (HOFs, bounties) or the other way is certificates.
EOD, you have to prove your worth and let the employer know you are qualified for the job.
2๏ธโƒฃ Resume
One pager.
Strictly have a one pager resume, which is not cobbled with info but neat and crisp. Highlight your most important talking points.
Tip: Use numbers wherever possible.
For example: Reported XXX bugs overall with AB.CD% accuracy.
Templatize your resume as well.
I use overleaf for this purpose and edit my resume in LaTex but you can use whatever works for you.
Customize your resume for the role and company you're applying. Make sure you read what the role asks you to do and fit points accrodingly.
3๏ธโƒฃ Preparation
There are some very standard IT Security questions that's often asked (from what I've observed)
Make sure you are well versed with these questions: mcafee.com
There's more to come.

That's a wrap!
