BSc 2.2 (Nigeria)
MSc (2.1) (Nigeria)
MSc (Commonwealth scholarship, United Kingdom)
Ph.D. (Fully-funded, United Kingdom)
About a year ago, I recalled telling the scholar to be less desperate and focus on why she's qualified for graduate school.
She went back to the drawing board, took my words seriously, and then apply for the commonwealth scholarship. Initially placed on the waiting list and then she got selected. About a few months before the end of her MSc program in the UK, she was worried again
and I told her to relax. A couple of days ago, I wasn't surprised when she shared the news of her fully funded Ph.D. in the UK.
I am particularly interested in applicants seeing themselves as assets. Graduate school takes a lot of commitment and hard work.
Fantasizing that you deserve to be in Canada, the US, and the UK because "Emilokan" is never a bad idea but it won't happen if you are not intentional.
Focus on your story. Use the free resources on the TL and the ones on scholarshipscafe.com. You will never go wrong!
Looking forward to being a part of your story. With God, all things are possible. But Faith without Work is dead!
God bless!
