Yesterday I hit 100k followers.
Less than a year and a half ago I decided to start tweeting.
But the story doesn’t begin there.
No.
The story begins more than 10 years ago.
I worked in sort of like a Walmart. Desperate and sad.

I worked in sort of like a Walmart. Desperate and sad.
When I got a call from a friend of mine…
“George. Let’s go do something with our lives. Let’s not be like our parents.”
I immediately said yes.
And the journey began.
We went to study digital marketing. Paid a half-ass college way too much money…
Went to all the lessons…
And couldn’t make anything work.

We’d take a sandwich from home and a couple of bucks from our moms for buses.
We’d go to a university and snuck into their library.
We’d work there every day.
We tried every business under the sun. Couldn’t make a single buck.
Eventually I broke down…

We tried every business under the sun. Couldn’t make a single buck.
Eventually I broke down…
And decided to go study a “real profession”.
I signed up to a cyber security school. Mom paid.
And 3 months in?
Their marketer quit.
This was my golden opportunity.
I came to the CEO and told him I’ll do the marketing.
(My pinned thread outlines that story).
But anyway…

Fast forward to 2019.
I met a guy who was a wiz at copywriting.
He didn’t know that yet though.
We started talking.
Discussing business.
Until one day I got a call from him.
Finally something worked for him.
(He was a sushi delivery guy trying to figure out marketing).

He said:
“George! I launched a course and made $6k on day one. In profit!”
He caught my attention.
Long story short…
I offered to partner up with him and build something together.
I’d go by train two hours each way every single day to sit with him.

And…
We decided to build a sales page.
But here’s what was unique about this guy:
• He didn’t speak any English. At all.
• He was dyslexic.
• Didn’t know grammar. At all.
He wrote like he spoke. LITERALLY. And he didn’t use a single comma. Not even a full stop.

So…
We started building a sales page.
Usually took me 2-3 weeks to build a sales page.
But when we sat together?
We built one in 4 hours. From beginning to end.
And his method was something I’ve never seen before.
(I took most of the copy courses available at the time)…

He didn’t care about what was written on the page.
Every time I said “let’s change this” or “let’s add this”…
He always agreed.
No questions.
Until one time I tried to change the big idea.
Oh boy was I in for a treat…
He stared at me with a blank face for minutes…

“How about if we do this?” I asked.
- NO!
“This?”
-NO!
He didn’t wanna change the big idea no matter what.
And that’s when I started realizing…
He was a copyTHINKER.
He just didn’t know it yet. There was no name for it.
Lemme explain:

Lemme explain:
He understood human psychology.
He also understood:
• Positioning
• Big ideas
• USP
• Mechanism
• Market research
• Finding a gap
• Framing
And so much more.
So I stuck with him for just over a year.
I learned from him everything I could.

And then…
I started implementing his methodology to my own businesses.
To clients.
Startups. Info businesses. Ecom. SaaS.
And it always worked!
Some worked better.
Some worse.
But every single business I worked with? Improved their marketing beyond words.
But here’s the funny part:

But here’s the funny part:
I barely touched their copy.
Even though they called me a copywriter…
I became a copyTHINKER. Without me understanding it.
I shared those ideas with 6 friends of mine…
And they also started building businesses. Developing the strategies.

We’d share ideas. Every day.
“Bro this worked for me. You should try this too…”
We’d share EVERYTHING.
No ego. No BS.
They’re all still my friends.
And we still share ideas. To this day.
Long story short…
I decided to open my Twitter account and start sharing.

It caught fire.
People started following.
Eager to learn my methods.
I kept developing the strategies. More. And more.
And I even took on a couple of coaching clients.
Then I decided to start my own cohort.
There were 10 spots and we got 100+ applications.

There were 10 spots and we got 100+ applications.
But…
There was one problem.
I charge a minimum of $3k-$5k/mo for my one-on-one coaching.
The cohort?
The beta was $1k. The next cohort will go for $2k-$3k. Maybe more.
So then…
The problem is one.
People who can’t afford thousands of dollars.

You see…
Not everyone is already at a stage where they’re already making money from their businesses.
And even the ones who are…
They are suffocating.
They can’t afford to pay.
So I’ve decided to do something about it.
But before I tell you what it is…

Notice how all this thread is about me.
“I”
“We”
“Me”
If you’ve read my threads before…
And understand copywriting…
You know you should write about your reader. Not about yourself.
Notice how the hook was also weak.
All of this is on purpose:

I want ONLY my TRUE fans to see this.
Or at least see this FIRST.
You see…
We’ll be giving you the opportunity to learn from me.
Directly.
And it’s only gonna cost you $47 or so (didn’t decide on final number yet)…
Something you ALL can afford.
What is it?

What is it?
We’ll be starting a copyTHINKING community.
And I’m not even gonna sell it to you.
If you’re my true fan?
You don’t need any convincing.
Right?
Now.
We have good news and bad news.
Actually we have two pieces of bad news.
Lemme share them with you:

The good news is it’s only $47. I wanted to sell it for $297 but decided against it last moment.
The bad news?
We’ll only be taking 100 of you.
We wanna test out the community small.
Which leads us to the second piece of bad news:

We’ll be accepting people according to the order they sign up to the waiting list in.
Meaning?
You sign up first - you get the launch email first.
That’s why this thread is so unappealing to the masses.
I want YOU to be first in.

We’ll launch the community in the upcoming week or two.
You’ll be first to get the email if you sign up first. Last if you sign up last.
Makes sense?
I’ll share how to sign up in exactly 30 min from now.
