Its not about “their country their rules what we can do”, but about our people’s lives at their soil that matters.
This research was done by The Guardian first in Feb21. They have been following this story since many years and have puboished many more articles on hardhsip & poor wages taking toll of migrants labourers.

Qatar PSA's has provided this data (of deaths) but in a way that can not lead to a concrete conclusion.
Amnesty report has many case studies of deaths that how hardship, working hours, high temp leads to migrant deaths.

DW has done a 'fact check' on these numbers, The Guardian, Amnesty, Qatar's official version and, cited all as either 'misleading' or 'false' because the data is not backed up by the exact reasons.

It will be naive to interpret that all deaths happen literally during stadium construction.
When such a world-class tournament is awarded, the prep takes years on overall city infra dvlpmnt stadiums, hotels, transport, civil, food, energy, etc for tourist, players &delegations

Even DW ended its fact-check in a vague manner that deaths happen but can not say exactly for sake of the World Cup!
I've provided all sources of info, and readers are sensible enough to interpret it.

Many Indian journalists , including Rana Ayyub (“guardian angel of marginals”) , byline for The Guardian and Akar Patel works for Amnesty yet none uttered a single word or amplified their own org reports here. Why? Because there is no H-M or Indian “oppressive” govt angle?
