@TCapsulae is interesting question. as eurotrash technically employed by the free state of bavaria, it would be pretty hard for them to fire me, though they might find a way. already i rarely participate in discussions/ conferences in my field, so that hardly matters.
@TCapsulae biggest advantage of going non-anon would be i could openly associate with other thinkers in this sphere as my eugyppius self, and not in my irl nobody persona. maybe i could win more readers? that is a double-edged sword:
@TCapsulae for whatever reason, as a non-anon, you're suddenly much more in the sights of hack journalists & discourse police, you have to start worrying about antifa, etc. so far I think I've done OK job of gathering a modestly-sized readership while keeping negative attention to minimum.
@TCapsulae that would be much harder to manage if my name and face were out there. also there's the issue of the german political police, who might sooner or later come calling. if I did decide to go non-anon, I'd probably seriously consider moving across one of the nearby borders.
