France aren't matching up in the below 4-3-3 shape which makes complete sense vs Denmark. They're sticking to the 4-3-1-2 which makes little sense because now Denmark have a 3v2 in the first line of build-up AND a 5v4 in the last line.
They can cause France real issues today.
Denmark have really clear advantages in settled play.
I can't believe how passive Deschamps has set France up today. They still have a big chance of winning due to their players but man are they vulnerable out of possession & will struggle to control proceedings because of that.
What's clear, though, is that Denmark's wingbacks aren't being aggressive to get out to France's fullbacks when pressing, so it basically means that each team will build play with ease in settled play.
We're witnessing two managers who don't want to press today, but they should.
The game is essentially settled attack vs settled attack due to the aforementioned reasons. Within those attacks Denmark defend in a 5-4-1 which helps negate the quality of MbappΓ© & DembΓ©lΓ© in 1v1's. Denmark have less quality but they have numerical advantages (3v2 + 5v4). 50/50.
