Suppose you go up to a group of christians and start blaspheming against christ. They have a social norm. Do you think they are going to accept the defense "free speech bro"
The answer is, of course not

@MetaPrime001 @ChristPilledNrX they don't have to use violence to suppress your transgressive speech, they have many social mechanisms available to them. Even if all of them are committed to free speech as a principle, they aren't going to cooperate with your or tolerate your presence

But what that means is that, within that group, free speech may save your neck, but it doesn't actually exist. Their are discursive norms which are higher and more salient than free speech
