1. My life was falling apart in a couple of weeks and I started thinking that if life can fall apart so rapidly, the opposite has to be true.
I was convinced that with focused effort things can go incredibly right in 30 days.
I went on a personal mission to turn things around.

2. I committed to a month of enhanced focus, discipline, and productivity in the name of self-improvement.
In this thread, I will explain what I did, and what I learned to change my life.
These past 30 days have been one the most transformational days of my life.

3. I stopped watching porn
With porn addiction, I associated a lot of shame, guilt, and disappointment.
No matter what, I couldn't stop.
I did some deep work and found out that I had some unresolved trauma from the past, so I dealt with it and ultimately stopped watching porn.

4. I canceled all plans
That meant no nights out, no dinners with friends, no nothing.
If I wasn’t at work I was at home.
I learned the noise gets turned down. You get to sit with yourself, your thoughts, emotions and ideas.
I spent my time on reflecting and improving my life.

5. I deleted all Social Media apps from my Phone.
It wasn't easy, but it sure was rewarding.
First 7 days I had to fight the urge to install the apps again but I didn't react.
And so the urge dissipated.
I spent much less time on my phone and was more present in my life.

6. I started to meditate for 30 min every day.
Sitting still for 30 min was hard in the beginning because my body was so uneasy. But I sat through the fire and with consistency I sensed an incredible feeling of calmness and gratitude.
I was no longer anxious and reactive.

7. I slept 8 hours every day
I like to stay up late so this one was tough, but my lack of sleep was affecting me much worse than I thought.
I started waking up at 7 am and was in bed by 10:30.
My stress level decreased.
I wasn’t as cold throughout the day.
My skin got better.

8. I trained every day.
I have been training consistently for a very long time so this was a no-brainer.
I don't have to force myself to go to the gym, rather I have to force myself not to sometimes.
Training is vital for my mental health, energy, confidence and contentment.

9. I cooked my own food.
I had always associated a lot of work & effort so I adopted the poor habit of eating processed food from outside.
When I started to cook my own food I discovered that it is quite joyful and you get to cook healthier options.
Also, it tastes better.

10. No alcohol.
That meant no alcohol during parties, restaurants, or at the pub with my friends.
I had decided I wasn't going to drink during Monk Mode and I kept my word.
If I could avoid alcohol in a society that idolizes it, it just affirmed my tenacity and fortitude.

11. I started to read
I collected some books that intrigued me and learned so much.
I studied the art of self-improvement which gave me new frameworks that I applied in my life.
This awakened a new interest in learning and expanding my knowledge.

12. I stopped listening to mainstream music
The lyrics of modern music are filled with garbage, filth, malevolence & degeneracy. Continuously listening to this programmed me to think similarly.
I listened to more instrumental music that gave me a sense of peace and joy.

13. I stopped chasing pleasure
This was the hardest thing for me as I've been raised in a society that idolizes pleasure & hook-up culture.
I cleansed my social media and phone of images that could remind me of my lustful past & I had more energy to spend on my passions.

14. This was a beautiful journey of self-improvement.
I got more aware of my negative habits that kept me chained to the past.
I sacrificed instant gratification for long-term happiness and my energy changed.
I became the kind of person that people want to be around.

To help me through my self-improvement journey I did the Live intentionally self-improvement program.
I started to write out all of my past up until this moment on paper and a lot of unresolved trauma from my past resurfaced and I was able to change.
