Here are 3 unconventional practices you need to hit 8 figures in 2023

The more people into your sourcing funnel the better
Most agencies don’t want to do this out of the fear of too many applicants
But my next tip will cut 80%-90% of the applicants immediately
1- The filter
Build a test for competency that must be completed during the job application
80% of people won’t take the assessment
Even less will pass
This assessment should test the TECHNICAL skills for the role
Suggested questions: 10-20
2- Future based interview questions
Anyone can BS a ‘tell me about a time when’ question
Only ask future based interview questions
Example
‘It’s 4 PM on a Friday. A client slack messages you for a refund. You have dinner in 2 hours. What do you do?’
These types of questions make the interviewee think and show you their thought process
Bonus tip
Make all these questions tease out your agency core values
If they pass the filter and share your values 100%, they’re a good hire

3- Create pass/fail criteria that determines when someone is a hire or not
This enables your agency to create a scalable process beyond you
And
Removes cognitive bias
Example
10 questions
Good answer = 2 points
Eh answer= 1 point
Bad answer= 0 pints
19 points or more is eligible for a hire
Anything less = no hire
