Ibn Rajab Al Hanbali رحمه الله mentions in his Tafsir of Surah al Fatiha that a persons level of guidance is determined by 3 things after having knowledge of the religion :
1- How eager he is to uphold the commands of Allah swt
2- He has the same level of eagerness to stay away

from the things Allah has prohibited
3- That he puts this eager intention into action
Your level when it comes to these 3 things, that will determine how much guidance you attain from Allah swt. As we know good deeds lead to more good deeds and sins lead to more sins. والله أعلم
