An important note on market phase/cycle and its impact on chart pattern developments and signals.
Over the past year #TURKEY #BIST100 segment of Tech Charts breakout alerts had 95% success rate.
19 out of 20 breakout alerts met their price targets.
This is mostly due to market being in a strong uptrend. Breakouts need momentum. Momentum is provided by participation in one direction.
#TURKEY #BIST100 experienced that.
This is exception. Though something we want to capture in different markets as well.
It is important to note that strict risk management will continue to be the savior of any portfolio when market conditions change.
A strategy that can live with low win% is always welcomed.
