The last thing you should ever feel for your guy is envy.
If he's winning, and you're not, it's your duty to clap for him.
As long as he isn't working to undermine your growth, it's not his fault you're not growing. More often than not, he was at your level.

Therefore, it's proof that you can also win.
And the best way for it is a calm mind; a mind that accepts the situation and focuses on development, rather than grudge.
Everyone has their time. Our journeys are unique, but meaningful efforts usually lead to success.

Opportunities, luck, circumstances may delay or quicken each man's individual races.
But personally knowing someone who rose from grass to grace before your very eyes, is probably the greatest motivator there is.
"If he can do it, then I can", is a great daily statement.

"Why can he do it, when I can't", is a contemptuous statement and makes you focus on your failures, above your miniscule achievements.
And it's worse, when you feel this way for your guy.
