A society that defines people (mostly young men) by how much they're perceived to have, is a breeding ground for fraud, robbery, and "ritual".
Where we can't compare artistes, comedians, actors, on the quality of their craft, but on their monetary accumulations.
Where we can't debate artistic skills or entertainment prowess, without someone throwing in "my fave get money pass your fave".
This is why some BBN guys suffer depression afterwards, because they're invisible when they don't show they're still winning.
And most times, it's the truly broke peopleโ€”living in one room, under broken ceiling, standing fan, no TV, public toiletโ€”who broke shame, compare the wealth of others, and pressure you to alter your craft to appeal to them.
Our society is not doing well.
