The 3-habit morning routine I use to create mental clarity, positive momentum, and boundless energy that lasts all day.
Steal what I like to call my "solar activations":
Steal what I like to call my "solar activations":
There are 2 hours in your day that determine the quality of the remaining 22:
1. The first hour
2. The last hour
Get these right, and you'll have a much easier time getting the most out of yourself on any given day.
Today, we're going to focus on the first hour.

Today, we're going to focus on the first hour.
Out of every combination of habits, hacks, & routines I've tried - these are the 3 I always fall back on.
They're easy to perform, easy to commit to, and take no more than 20-45 minutes to complete.
They give me the best results with the least amount of time + energy spent.

Flexible Meditation
Time: 5-20mins
I meditate at the start of every morning, but it doesn't always look the same.
Open your mind when it comes to what meditation can be - the variety of ways you can engage it will help lock this habit in and keep it consistent.

Here are the 3 ways I meditate:
1. yoga nidra - the state between waking consciousness & sleep, easy to engage right after waking
2. walk - focusing on the rhythm of my steps and breathing to induce a trance
3. prayer - I repeat deeply intentional affirmations in my mind

The intention behind morning meditation is to prime your mind for calm collectedness that lasts throughout the day.
Sets a state that promotes more responsiveness and less reactiveness.

Physical Activation
Time: 10-20mins
I engage my body to amplify energy, usually outside on my balcony for sun exposure.
First, I stretch while visualizing fresh energy coming in with my breath and stale energy leaving through the tension in my muscles.
Then, breathwork.

3-step breathing routine:
1. 30x deep inhale + exhale through nose, 1x exhale + hold, 1x inhale + hold
2. 10x rapid inhale + exhale through nose, 1x exhale + hold, 1x inhale + hold
3. 1x big exhale out of mouth, 1x big inhale through nose + hold
MASSIVE lasting energy surge.

If I could only pick one thing to do in the morning, it would be breathwork.
Your breath is the essence of life and the fundamnetal energetic source.
You can live 3 weeks without food, 3 days without water, but only 3-6 minutes without breathing.
Keep the oxygen circulating.

Daily intention
Time: 5-mins
This is the journal exercise I use to set intention for the day.
It's simple, concise, and will help to keep you centered.
You just need to answer three simple prompts.

This is the journal exercise I use to set intention for the day.
It's simple, concise, and will help to keep you centered.
You just need to answer three simple prompts.
The 3-prompt daily intentions:
Ask yourself...
1. What am I grateful for today?
2. What would make today a great day?
3. What am I embodying today?
Sometimes I give one-word answers, sometimes I write out a few sentences.
No wrong way to do it, experiment and play.

Journaling keeps you in a state of high self-awareness.
When you start your day setting intention, it makes deciding how you're going to go about your day easier because you've already set the foundation on which to base your decisions made and actions taken.
