A few years back, I detested motivational speakers and so called "prosperity pastors"
I was tired of the aspire to perspire talks.
"You can make it if you believe in yourself"
Bla...bla...bla
I listened to them for 3 years and did everything they said I should do.
Yet, nothing changed about my finances.
I was still broke on a consistent basis.
I thought they were the problem.
But one day, I stumbled on a newsletter written by a man named Gary Halbert.
Inside that newsletter, he taught me the ONE thing all those motivational speakers and prosperity pastors failed to talk about.
He introduced me to the button I could push and get money.
He explained it with this one sentence below:
"All money is made by somebody selling something to somebody else"
E.g.
A model sells her beauty.
A businessman like Dangote sells his products (cement, sugar, salt etc)
A factory worker sells his time and his minimum skills.
He also went on to open my eyes to the fact that how much money you make are determined by 2 things:
(1) What you sell.
(2) How well you sell it.
When I read that, it dawned on me that the main thing I had to do to solve the money crisis in my life was for me to:
LEARN HOW TO SELL.
From that moment forward, I started reading everything I could find about sales, marketing and advertising.
That was in 2008.
Years after, I have sold various products worth millions.
And I have also thought several others how to do the same.
What I realized throughout this journey is this:
The mindset stuff that I got from the motivational speakers and prosperity pastors actually played an important role in my success.
They were like the foundation that made everything work.
If I were to put 'ending money worries in a formula,' it would be something like:
Prosperity Mindset + Selling Ability = $$$
