What is a Business Scientist? 🧡
#datascience
I’m seeing an underground trend forming in data jobs.
A high focus on data with a lack of:
1. Building
Lack of building products that companies can use to make decisions
2. Execution
Companies aren't getting things into production from their data science teams
3. Business strategy automation
A lack of taking business needs and converting them into automated solutions
And because of this gap, it’s my belief that a new role is coming in 2023.
It’s the birth of the Business Scientist.
A Business Scientist is not:
- A decision scientist
- A project manager
- An analytics interpreter
- An economist
- An analytics engineer
While the Business Scientist brings aspects of these roles together, the main focus is on building solutions that the business can use.
You may be thinking, β€œis a Business Scientist some sort of unicorn?”
Not at all.
Rather the Business Scientist is most closely related to a Consultant.
And these people exist in the flesh.
They can:
1. Translate requirements...
2. Build powerful business solutions that automate data analysis
3. Provide actionable information fast.
If you’d like to prepare for this change, then I’d like to help.
Here's how...
Attend my new webinar, "How to get a data science job in 2023?"
