You can't underestimate the power of having a highly amplified perception of yourself. It could be pure and utter delusional but this is preferable to a brutally honest downtrodden type.
Another good thing to consider is - to get in tow with people of a similar mindset. The strongest bonds I've ever had are all very egocentric ones. Having people around you who big you up and vice versa is priceless for your own self-esteem. Don't mingle with miserable doomers.

And I can confirm - it does not work. You gotta be proud of yourself, project that image and most importantly - stand up for yourself and make your intentions crystal clear.
Don’t expect everybody to understand your complex character and intricate workings, They don’t know and they don’t care.
Gotta stand up and be counted in this life. Be a good pal to yourself and like magic. Others will act accordingly.
The only reason i know this shit is because I’ve been on the other end of it and I’ve suffered due to this. Don’t make the same mistake.
