[Srouriyyah conflict with jihadi movement - The Chechen experience]
1) The Chechen experience is similar to the experience of #Afghanistan in terms of the method of infiltration, and the attempt to contain and split ranks by the Srouri movement.
2) As for the details of the experience, they go back to before the end of the first Chechen war when there was a group affiliated with the leader Amir al-Khattab operating in the Arabian peninsula for media, legal and financial support.
3) Where it was active in collecting donations and propaganda for the cause and communicating with major merchants as well as with students of knowledge to answer the fatwas received from there, and for that they founded (the Caucasus website),
4) and with the intensification of the war and the increase in the mujahideen's need for funds, the group proposed the idea of participating in the #Chechnya issue to (the Notorious Srouri) Abdullah Al-Rayes "Abu Malik"
5) Due to his fame at the time and the strength of the support he received, Abu Malik found it an opportunity to find a foothold for the Srouri organization in #Chechnya, and after presenting the matter to the Srouri Council and its approval,
6) Abu Malik adopted with his Srouri group participation in the work with the Amir al-Khattab group, and Abu Malik began to establish his foothold more and more & pull the rug from under the feet of the al-Khattab group.
7) Due to Abdullah al-Rayyed specialization and the presence of strong financial and human support behind him, he was able to exclude al-Khattab’s group, which initially had a good opinion of him, and it was not clear to them what his real goal and desire to participate were.
8) The first result of this matter was the acquisition of the Caucasus site by Abi Malik’s group. Where Muhammad al-Damnan and Mansour al-Uraydi (Pic below) supervised its contents and what was presented in it, and Ahmed Al-Zalfan assumed the technical supervision of it,
9) and al-Khattab’s group was completely excluded from the media side of the case, which annoyed them, so they transferred this matter to al-Khattab, who was completely busy at the time. So al-Khattab asked them to leave Abu Malik and devote themselves to work.
10) The group tried to retrieve something that was lost from them, so they asked to meet Abu Malik and sit with him, to settle some outstanding matters, and Abdullah Al-Rayes agreed to that. On the specified day, he sent Saleh Al-Darwish, a member of the Srouri Council, instead
11) of him, This angered a group of al-Khattab due to his devious methods (Typical of Srouris), and they refused to sit except with Abu Malik personally. Abu Malik was then trying to find a direct way for him to bypass the entire group and out maneuver them.
12) So he sent (Fawaz Al-Muharraq) to meet al-Khattab with an amount of 500 thousand Saudi riyals in his bag, which they thought was sufficient to lure al-Khattab and impose dictations on him. At the meeting, Fawaz tried to convince al-Khattab to have a hand in disposing
13) of these funds, which led to al-Khattab's anger at this despicable method. al-Khattab was aware of what the Srouri organization wanted from this request, and that it was only a first step to infiltrating its ranks and leadership. al-Khattab expelled Fawaz from the meeting.
14) and Fawaz was asked by al-Khattab to leave #Chechnya, so he returned to #Riyadh, then the organization sent Fawaz again to Chechnya, so he tried to communicate with some of the leaders of the discordant tribes with the Amir (Shamil Basayev), but he failed again.
15) But in the end, as usual, the Srouri organization's attempts to penetrate the Chechen arena ended in failure.
