"Writing a book is hard."
Wrong.
Writing a book *without a system* is hard. 😱
Thread: The 5 systems I use to ghostwrite books that convert readers into clients.
Before we start on the 5 Systems, you need to know what not to do:
🚨 NEVER just sit down and start writing 🚨
🚨 NEVER just start interviewing someone 🚨
Because you NEVER start with a book idea and then write about it.
Here's what you do instead:
System #1: Jobs To Be Done
I learned "Jobs To Be Done" theory from Clayton Christensen (he taught at Harvard Business School).
He says that people buy tools to get jobs done.
They buy the best tool that's suited for their job, that they perceive is suited for the job.
Your book is a tool.
You need to know what job it's doing for your reader.
Meaning there is something readers want to get accomplished:
-Lose weight and keep it off 💪
-Make real money from a side hustle 💰
-Have better sex with multiple partners 💞
Your job as the author is to present your book as the tool that helps your reader do what they already want to do.
That's System #1 and it will save you from writing the wrong book.
System #2: Blue Ocean Strategy
Blue Ocean Strategy is a very useful little book which tells you stop giving customers what they don't want that your competitors are already providing.
Instead, give your customers what they do want that competitors are not providing.
What are the top five books on your topic that your customers have already read?
Don't (re)write those books!
Go as far away from that as you possibly can, even to the extent of saying the exact opposite.
If they say lose weight, you say don't lose weight.
If they say eat meat, you say go vegan.
If they say dress for success, you say go nudist.
This is how you get attention.
With the Blue Ocean Strategy you become unforgettable.
Use this when refining your table of contents so you know what to talk about and what not to talk about.
System #3: Jay Abraham Review Hacking
Jay Abraham taught a copywriting training in which he went to Amazon reviews and looked at the two, three and four star reviews.
He pulled out lines from what customers said that they wanted from the product that they did not get. 💔
What people wanted but didn't get from previous books on your topic?
Those are your chapter titles. Those are your section titles.
What we're do is we ensuring that everything in here is what customers actually want.
System #4: Project Management with ClickUp
Let's talk the process of creating a book.
Words on a page don't magically become a book that is published everywhere bringing in high value prospects.
In my shop we use ClickUp to ensure this result from every project.
Back when I was a one person business writing one or two books at a time, I kept it all in my head.
Now I have up to 12 people working on a client's book, with over a dozen future bestsellers underway at once.
We use ClickUp for talking with clients too!
System #5: The Best Way To Say It
This is a process I've used internally for over 10 years.
I've written over 70 books with this system.
It's how I write all of my clients' content from emails to blogs to books.
It's called... ✨ The Best Way To Say It ✨
Your raw ideas, lessons, stories, tips, and tactics are just word vomit and no one cares. 🤮
The ✨ Best Way To Say It ✨ takes your raw material and transforms it in to usable content that gets people wanting to buy. 🤑
If you want to ghostwrite like me, if you want to write a winner every time, you need to follow ✨ The Best Way To Say It ✨
