8 Soft skills that you need to learn in 2023 that will make you a millionaire in 2027:
1. Curiosity
Entrepreneurship is a game of curiosity.
You need to be able to ask the right questions to find the right solutions.
Don't just accept the world as it is.
Ask questions and learn; it’s the best way to grow.
2. Creativity
Creativity is king in entrepreneurship.
You need it for:
• crafting stories
• building your brand
• connecting with your audience
It's the hardest part of the process, and if you don’t learn it, you’re doomed to failure.
3. Adaptability
I've been fired from almost every job I've held.
I've had "best friends" try to destroy my business.
No one would have blamed me for giving up, but I kept going.
If you give up instead of adapting, you’ll never reach your goals.
4. Decisiveness
Indecisiveness will crush your business.
Every moment you sit and wait you’re wasting time and money.
You’ll never know all facts, make the best decisions with what know.
Decide, act, win.
5. Accountability
Everything is your fault as an entrepreneur.
Even if your employee makes a mistake, that means you either:
• hired the wrong person
• have the wrong systems
• didn't give the right instructions
To succeed, you must take responsibility for everything.
6. Self-awareness
Entrepreneurship requires you to know yourself.
This isn't your 9-5, where your boss tells you what to do.
You're managing yourself now.
Be real with yourself about what's working & what's not.
7. Long-term thinking
Short-term thinking breeds failure.
It's gonna take you longer than you think.
You'll spend the first 12-24 months just figuring shit out.
Play long-term games with long-term people.
8. Comfort with failure
Fearing failure will always hold you back.
Here's how I approach failure:
• View it as data
• Analyze what went wrong
• Make the appropriate adjustments
See failures as experiences to help you improve.
Summary:
1. Curiosity
2. Creativity
3. Adaptability
4. Decisiveness
5. Accountability
6. Self-awareness
7. Long-term thinking
8. Comfort with failure
Don’t apply all of these at the same time.
Take it slowly by learning them one at a time.
If you need a place to start, self-awareness is my suggestion.
