“Introverts are more successful”
“Extroverts are more successful”
BOTH ARE WRONG.
AMBIVERTS are the true winner.
See if you are one of them (9 THINGS THEY DO):
#1 They are good at listening AND talking
Listening and talking are equivalently important.
That’s what ambiverts do:
They listen so they can observe and show respects.
They talk so they can demonstrate their thoughts and intentions clearly.
#2 They not only work alone but also work together
Ambiverts do work alone, but only when the work requires privacy.
Even if they don’t like cooperations, ambiverts will do it anyways.
They know that some things must give ways so a greater benefit will come.
#3 They are mysterious, but they are articulate when necessary
Ambiverts keep their profiles low like introverts.
But just like extroverts they don’t always keep their voices down.
To make themselves clear they will not hesitate to state their rules of thumb.
#4 They not only follow but also make rules
Ambiverts respect rules, but they aren’t conservative in solving problems.
They know that to be truly successful they can’t be different:
Instead, they do what others do but in their own ways.
#5 They do get angry but they don’t show it
Ambiverts can be very flammable, but they suppress it.
Not because they are afraid of expressing it,
But because they know it’s a waste of energy.
#6 They avoid gossips, but they do listen
Ambiverts don’t gossip, but they “exploit” it.
They know that even when it’s a bunch of rubbish,
There can be a piece of GOLD.
#7 They interact with different kinds of people
Ambiverts refuse to think that one should only interact with the best.
They know that success comes from knowing both the strong and the weak.
One is truly powerful when they know not only what one can but also what one can’t do.
#8 They are neither too afraid nor too proud to stand out
For ambiverts standing out is a responsibility instead of a burden or a privilege.
In fact, they don’t stand out to make themselves different or better…
For they are doing this completely due to humility.
#9 They are neither emotional nor emotionless
Ambiverts are truly mature people: they conceal, instead of annihilating, their feelings.
But that doesn’t mean they don’t express emotions:
When it is overwhelming they will look for the right people to talk to.
When it is delightful they will share it with the right people.
For they know self-care works only when privacy and relationships are balanced.
Conclusion
This is not saying that ONLY ambiverts can succeed.
Instead, the main takeaway is that there is no extreme where all succeed or all fail.
While you should be as careful as introverts, you should also be as outgoing as extroverts.
Let’s end with a quote:
“The society that separates its scholars from its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting by fools.”
TL;DR
#1 They are good at listening AND talking
#2 They not only work alone but also work together
#3 They are mysterious, but they are articulate when necessary
#4 They not only follow but also make rules
#5 They do get angry but they don’t show it
#6 They avoid gossips, but they do listen
#7 They interact with different kinds of people
#8 They are neither too afraid nor too proud to stand out
#9 They are neither emotional nor emotionless
That’s a wrap!
