How much do you pay for your dog to get groomed?
Thinking of starting a mobile grooming service as a side hustle in Hoboken.

Current math:
Cost of grooming trailer: $63k
Price per grooming: $65/avg
Cost for the groomer: $24/hr
Margin: $41/hr
Other costs: gas, cleaning, supplies
If 5 dogs per weekend day = $41 * 5 * 52 = $21,320 = 3yr payback
If 5 dogs per week day = $41 * 5 * 365 = $74,825 = <1yr

fwiw i think 5 dogs per weekday in the beginning is too aggressive and i think $65 per grooming isn't aggressive enough

other considerations:
- ease/difficulty for van to just park right by the customers home/apartment
- other revenue streams: premium grooming (anal glands, nails, dematting), dog walking, treats, toys, daycare, etc

once it's up and running, game plan is:
1) find a young hungry first time operator
2) create youtube/social/twitter content following the journey and lessons for this biz/operator
3) open up brand/ad deals as a rev channel in addition to the core business
