Until we realise that scholars are not celebrities we will continue to have access to knowledge but still remain ignorant.
Signs and symptoms..
When they meet a scholar, their main focus is to request for a photo with him instead of asking relevant knowledgeable questions to

benefit..
The moment a famous scholar start giving talks, they will not take pen and paper to jot down new things being said to add up to their knowledge, they will rather pile their phones infront of the scholar, a recording they will hardly listen to at home..

They rate the knowledge and sincerity of a scholar base on a fan base, his views and likes on social media platforms et cetera.
