Getting institutions to waive the English test for English-speaking African countries is a collective responsibility. Anyone can take the step but also ensure that you give them a reason to make that change.
@Quatchamp and I had a history dating back to 2013 when his Uncle and I were the first Nigerians who were admitted to Daejeon University, South Korea fully funded by the Korean Government. A couple of months ago, we connected here.
Unknown to me, he took the challenge alongside his future PI at Portland State University, and today, the English test has been waived for applicants from Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya et al. Nation-building is not just about who takes the lead but a collective mission.
Would you push for an exemption for the English test today at that institution that wouldn't recognize Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe et al as English speakers or would you rather tag the troublesome 'Dr Muyiwa'.........Personal reflectionπ
