@Rtam86418021 @UrFavOppressor Gurmukhi was created (technically standardised, since it descends from Sharada just like Takri and Landa) by Guru Angad for the sake of writing the Guru Granth Sahib.
@Rtam86418021 @UrFavOppressor As such, Gurmukhi is first and foremost the script of the Guru Granth Sahib (which has passages written a wide variety of languages, not only Punjabi) and only secondarily a script used for Punjabi. Muslims have used Shahmukhi traditionally.
@Rtam86418021 @UrFavOppressor Do you seriously think that Pakistanis, who tried to force Perso-Arabic script down the throats of East Pakistanis in 1948, would grant equal to an Indic script strongly associated with a micro-minority (Sikhs) in Pakistani Punjab?
