Cheat codes for life I wish I knew at 20:
1. I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be
loved the rest is up to them.
2. No matter how much I care some people just don't care back.
3. It takes years to build up trust in only seconds to destroy it.
4. I've learned that no matter how good a friend is they're gonna hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
5. It's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.
6. You should never ruin an apology with an excuse.
7. I've learned that you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes after that you better know something.
8. You shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do.
9. You can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
10. I've learned that it takes time a long time to become the person that i want to be.
11. You should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time that you see them.
12. You can keep going long after you can't.
13. I've learned that we are responsible for what we do no matter how we feel.
14. You either control your attitude or it controls you.
15. Regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there better be something else to take its place.
16. I've learned that the heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done regardless of the consequences.
17. Money is a lousy way of keeping score.

23. I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
24. I've learned that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish few things are more humiliating and what a tragedy would be if they believed it.
25. I've learned that your family won't always be there for you it may seem funny but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again families aren't biological.
26. I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others, sometimes you are to learn to forgive yourself.
27. No matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
28. I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are but we are responsible for who we become.
29. A rich person is not the one who has the most but is the one who needs the least.
30. I've learned that just because people argue it doesn't mean that they don't love each other and just because they don't argue it doesn't mean that they do.
31. We don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change
32. I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret it could change your life forever.
33. Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
34. I've learned that no matter how you try to protect your children they will eventually get hurt and you will be hurt in the process.
35. Even when you think you have no more time to give when a friend cries out to you you will find the strength to help.
36. I've learned that credentials on the wall don't make you a decent human being.
37. The people you care about most in this life are taken from you too soon.
38. I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.
39. I've learned that people will forget what you said and people will forget what you did but people will never ever forget how you made them feel.
40. I've learned that heartbreak is the most painful emotion you will ever experience. You can let it define you, break you or grow you. You can’t avoid heartbreak in life but you can decide how it impacts you.
Choose wisely.
41. I've learned that you need to explore your curiosity, not your passion. Investigate everything that piques your interest. No matter how random it is. Painting, writing, whatever.
Passions are developed, not found.
42. I've learned that you need to find a hobby that nourishes you.
One hobby that makes you money.
One hobby that makes you fit.
One hobby that fuels your creativity.
One hobby that connects you with nature and people.
43. I've learned that you gotta rethink higher education. People might have Master's Degree and even Ph.D. degrees but can struggle to achieve anything in the real world.
Remember that the best jobs in the world are neither decreed nor degreed.
