2. Learn To Love Your Company
Writing is a solitary exercise.
There is no joint writing project.
It's you.
The page.
That's it.
And what ends up happening?
You hate what your mind creates.

You don't love yourself enough to be comfortable around your own thoughts.
You find them boring or disinteresting.
The cure?

Here's how:
You know what makes the world alive with colour for you.
Perhaps you could:
- Visit a new city
- Go to a museum
- Go to a sports game
- Attend a concert
Keep your mind in a constant state of wonder.
Watch the words pour out of you uncontrollably.

3. Create A Writing Sanctuary
Why do you feel hungry when you walk into the kitchen?
Why do you feel relaxed as you fall back onto the sofa?
Because our brains associate places with actions.
So, where does your brain enter writing mode?

Because our brains associate places with actions.
So, where does your brain enter writing mode?
I write at a desk in my living room.
As soon as I sit down, my brain associates the location with writing.
There's no debating it - it's hardwired into me.
So you need to find a place in your house that your brain associates with writing.

So you need to find a place in your house that your brain associates with writing.
It could be:
- A certain seat at the kitchen table
- A desk in your bedroom
- A study or office
Wherever.
As long you make a practice of writing there every single day.
Then, all you need to do is enter the location and it's time to write.
Routine takes over.

4) Read Books That You Curious
Have you ever finished a war film and felt the spirit of the soldier coursing through your veins?
Have you finished a Netflix crime show and felt the power of the policeman in your mind?
Books make you want to embody the spirit of the writer.

When you read a great book, you feel compelled to write afterwards.
However, most people make a mistake here...
It occurs when you read something you don't like.
You force yourself to continue.
Word by boring word.
God, it's dragging...

Books like this have a nasty effect:
They make you hate reading, not the book.
So, when you're bored by a book, don't be afraid to stop reading it.
Put it down.
Reach for something that can't help but make you turn the page.
Let reading inspire you; not bore you.
