Understanding and recognizing new narratives is the easiest way to make money in crypto.
But how do you know which ones are fads, and which ones are here to stay?
The answer:
Following trends
Here's 4 narratives that I expect to grow heading into 2023.
๐Ÿงต ๐Ÿ‘‡
When I talk about narratives, many often think of short-term ones like the AI boom we recently saw.
But my focus is on long-term narratives.
To me, these are narratives which trend in the direction crypto is going.
The perfect example are perpetuals, let's dive in โ†“
1๏ธโƒฃ Perpetuals
With the collapse of FTX, a massive whole in the futures / perps space was created, along with users trust.
Who's going to fill that gap heading into 2023?
Large perpetuals like $GMX and $GNS
However, there are masses of smaller perpetuals which will also profit
How will I play it in 2023?
Accumulate 'blue chip' perps like $GMX, whilst watching which other perps are making the correct moves.
Some of my favourites:
$DXP $TAKE $YDF $MVX $UNIDX
2023 will be a make or break year for many of those mentioned.

2๏ธโƒฃ Yield generatoooors
We've seen hundreds of these pop up over the last few months, however, only a few will make it.
Look to those with institutional compliance like $UMAMI, which is slowly becoming my biggest bet in this space.
They allow for simple investments with yield.
You can diversify with $KTN $LEVI $GMD $MGN and countless others like @rage_trade.
My current worry is the over emphasis on $GLP for yield.
However the upside is exposure to GLP + upside of the much smaller aggregator token ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Great thread of others โ†“
3๏ธโƒฃ Options
One of my biggest bets for next year are options of all different kinds.
They are more structured than perpetuals and more well known.
The main upside is not the options themselves, but the fees platforms can distribute back to holders / stakers. (Real yield maxi)
However, options are more diverse than perps
You can get simple options like Binary options with @Buffer_Finance (one of my biggest bets)
or much more complex options by @dopex_io
The result however is the same:
Good platform > gets users > generate fees

4๏ธโƒฃ NFTfi
Lastly is NFTfi, a mix of NFTs and DeFi.
When I first started crypto, I wasn't a big NFT guy, but seeing the community associated with them, it's hard to ignore.
Protocols include; @stacksfi_xyz, @nftperp @NFTYFinance, $giga @gigaswapfinance and many others.
Why? โ†“
OpenSea has maintained it's dominance for some time now, but the landscape is changing.
NFTooors want better liquidity and cross-chain options.
The main upside is liquidity solutions for NFTs and the fees they will generate for the protocol and therefore, token holders.
Protocols like $YDF and many others that are including NFTs as an integral part of their platform or for raising liquidity, are included in NFTfi IMO
NFTs will expand beyond just art, and they already are.
Lesson here?
Buy what the market tells you, not what you tell yourself.
These are not all the narratives I expect to do well, just the ones I'm convicted and focusing on.
On top of that, there are countless other protocols within these narratives that I didn't mention, but will in the coming weeks ๐Ÿ”ฅ
