Azeezunbai courtesan (inspired by Nana) was as valiant lady usually found riding horse with Sepoys in male attire decorated with medals, armed with pistols

Hazrat Begum Mahal (1820-1879) rebelled against the British during 1857
After her husband (last NAWAB) had been exiled to Calcutta, she took charge of the affairs of Awadh and seized control of Lucknow.
She died in Kathmandu in 1879.

After the wãr was over, the properties of 'Rebellions' were marked for seizure. The Prize Agents were deployed. The amount of seizure and amount reported were always of great disagreement.
